Closed Log: Hilda and N

[ Ever since he had heard of the carnival in town, N had wanted to go. He remembered the one in Nimbasa with fondness, the foul memories of Team Plasma aside. But he had not wanted to go alone.

Now, however, Hilda was here and was willing to come with him. The thought excited him even more just because it was Hilda -- perhaps this could be better than Nimbasa. If only in a small way, maybe he could make up for everything he had done.

He waited by the gate, eyes turned upwards towards the Ferris Wheel that was slowly turning, its blinking lights already on. ]

[ N smiles brightly and heads out the door, making a beeline straight for the Ferris Wheel. ]

[ She follows just a few steps behind him, dismissing that slight discomfort that churned in her stomach. This time will be a better experience for both of them, she's sure of it. ]

[ There is not a line; N is glad. He climbs in when motioned, already looking out the window this time. ]

[ She steps inside after N and plants herself on the cold metal seat while waiting for the wheel to start moving; why whoever made the ride didn't use something softer is completely beyond her. ]

[ He had been so sure of himself then, so ready to take on the world, so much less confused. ]

And we've changed. Both of us. [ She pauses for a second or two to think about to say next and glances out the window when the wheel starts to turn. ]

You know, I didn't think I'd end up a hero when I started my journey. Or meet legendaries.

...I knew you would be. I don't know...just the way your Pokemon talked about you, the way you battled -- it was obvious.

Aww, thanks! [ She smiles, soaking up the flattery like a sponge. She thinks, knows there are a lot of people out there that could've been the hero if circumstances had been different; Hilbert comes to mind, but she doesn't want to think about him too much (she still feels a bit sore-- and a little guilty -- after the accusation of stealing his life). ]

N, listen to me. Ghetsis manipulated you. He wanted power, you didn't - you did what you believed was right. Yeah, sure, it wasn't really right in the end but you did it out of love for Pokémon. I can't speak for everyone-

[ She never lost a partner and a friend to Team Plasma. She can't blame people for not forgiving him or wanting to introduce him to their fists. ]

-but I don't think you should be blamed for Ghetsis' crimes. You've changed a lot, like I said a minute ago.
